Get ready to join us at our Bury St Edmunds Christmas Lights Event on Thursday, November 20th, from 3 to 8 p.m. This date coincides with St Edmund’s Day. Bury St Edmunds takes its name from King Edmund, the original Patron Saint of England and King of East Anglia, whose shrine at the Abbey of St Edmund was once one of England’s most famous and wealthy pilgrimage sites.
The magical transformation will begin when the sun sets, and there will be a variety of charity, craft, and gift stalls along Cornhill and the Buttermarket. We will have various FREE street entertainment available, along with fairground rides and live stage performances by local school and artists.
The Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Lights Event is brought to you by Our Bury St Edmunds Business Improvement District and supported by Shop Safe.
More details for this event will be announced later in the year, so make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.
