Providing a unique exploration of Bury St Edmunds’s evolution over time and the critical role played by local groups in preserving and promoting its heritage.  Contributors to the exhibition include the Suffolk Regiment Museum, Bury Town Tour Guides, Ickworth House, West Suffolk Hospital Historical Society, and the Bury Society – to name a few!

During the exhibition, the Guildhall WW2 Operations Room will be open for visitors.  The Ops Room is the only one of its kind left in the Country and was home to the Royal Observer Corps – an unsung group of local heroes who were the ‘eyes and ears of the RAF’ during the Battle of Britain. Discover the stories of the remarkable people who worked in the Ops Room and the incredible events they were part of.
