Paddington Visits

Everyone’s favourite bear has taken a seat at the arc Shopping Centre as part of Paddington Visits, a far-reaching trail spanning the UK and Ireland.

Bury St Edmunds was invited to be one of 24 locations on the trail by StudioCanal to celebrate the release of Paddington In Peru in 2024.

Our Bury St Edmunds BID and the arc Shopping Centre supported the project with the aim to encourage residents and tourists to visit the town centre.

Fans of all ages can take a pew next to Paddington (who can be found in Charter Square outside The Apex) for selfies with the marmalade loving bear, a meticulously crafted and painted statue sporting the wise bear’s signature red hat, blue duffle coat, and, naturally, a marmalade sandwich in paw.

Visitors from around the world can explore all the locations on the  Ordnance Survey’s  website, raising our profile as a visitor destination.
