Events & Trails

Our Bury St Edmunds BID organises a range of free-entry public events and themed trails throughout the year, bringing thousands of visitors into the town centre and supporting local businesses. These events are designed to attract footfall, create a vibrant atmosphere, and offer something for all ages to enjoy.

Every year, our events attract over 250,000 visitors, boosting the local economy and showcasing all that Bury St Edmunds has to offer. Our Events include the Spring Fayre, the Food & Drink Festival, and the Christmas Lights Event in November

We also run interactive trails throughout the year to keep families engaged while exploring the town centre. These include this year’s VE Day Trail, a commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and last year’s popular Dino Easter Egg Hunt Trail, which invited children and families to hunt for colourful dino eggs hidden in local shops and businesses.

All of these events are free to attend and are part of the BID’s commitment to making Bury St Edmunds a lively, welcoming, and enjoyable place to visit year-round.
