Commemorating 60 Years Since England’s Victory in the World Cup
Following on from our popular town centre trails, Our Bury St Edmunds BID is delighted to present the '66 World Cup Trail in Bury St Edmunds Town Centre. This free, family-friendly trail runs from Saturday 4th July to Sunday 6th September 2026 and is a fun way to explore the town together.
There are ten '66 World Cup related items items hidden in participating businesses across the town centre. Your goal is to discover all ten items and write down the location of each one on the competition form on the back page.
Once completed, return your form to be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win one of three prizes. The 1st prize is a £100 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card and Apex Membership for one year. The 2nd prize is a £75 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card and the 3rd prize is a £50 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card.
Competition forms can be collected from participating businesses and town centre venues. Once completed, simply return your form as instructed for a chance to take part in the competition.
Perfect for families, curious minds and little explorers, it’s completely FREE to take part and a great excuse to enjoy the town while having some footie fun.

Pick Up Locations
If you would like to take part in our '66 World Cup Football Trail, forms can be picked up from participating businesses, the Tourist Information Point at St Edmundsbury Cathedral Shop on Angel Hill, Moyse's Hall Museum, the Apex, and the Library.
Terms and Conditions
- By taking part in the 66 World Cup Trail you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
- The trail and prize draw is being run by Our Bury St Edmunds BID, and winners are chosen at random.
- The 66 World Cup Trail runs from Saturday 4th July 2026 to midnight Sunday 6th September 2026.
- A maximum of one entry form per individual is permitted.
- The 66 World Cup Trail is free to participate in.
- The following are not eligible to enter; Our Bury St Edmunds BID employees and their relatives, or anyone else professionally associated with the Our Bury St Edmunds BID and Bury St Edmunds and Beyond brands.
- Personal data provided on the entry form will be used solely for the administration of the trail and any associated prize draw. It will not be used for marketing purposes or shared with third parties.
How to take part
- To take part in the 66 World Cup Trail you will need a form. Forms can be picked up from participating businesses, the Tourist Information Point at St Edmundsbury Cathedral Shop on Angel Hill, Moyse’s Hall Museum, The Apex, and the Library. They can also be downloaded on the official trail page. There are 10 different football related items located in participating businesses across the town centre, discover all 10 items and list the location (business name) of each item on the trail form.
- There are a number of businesses taking part in the 66 World Cup Trail, and some businesses may share the same item, but you only need to list one location for that particular item.
- Completed forms must be returned to Our Bury St Edmunds office at 2 Woolhall Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1LA by midnight on Sunday 6th September 2026.
- Only completed forms will be entered into the prize draw and the locations of the football related items (numbers 1-10) must be correct.
- Our Bury St Edmunds BID will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.
- There are 3 prizes to be won. The first prize is a £100 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card and Apex Membership for one year. The second prize is a £75 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card. The third prize is a £50 Bury St Edmunds Gift Card.
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
- The winners will be chosen at random and contacted within two weeks of the trail ending and announced on the Our Bury BID social channels.
- The winners must be available to collect the Gift Card prize from the Our Bury St Edmunds office at 2 Woolhall Street, IP33 1LA.
