Maison Bleue scoops Suffolk’s Restaurant of the Year award
Simply the Best
Maison Bleue, Bury St Edmunds, is celebrating their success having gained the prestigious ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award in the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards 2019. Renowned for its locally sourced artistic gastronomic menu and highly acclaimed cuisine the multi award-winning fine dining restaurant offers a relaxed and elegant ambience; with a warm welcome from owner-chef Pascal and his wife Karine Canevet.
Celebrating the finest food and drink across the county the glittering awards dinner event, hosted by Suffolk Magazine and the East Anglian Daily Times, was held at Kesgrave Hall in Ipswich, on Monday 29 April 2019, with guests from across Suffolk in attendance together with the 48 business finalists competing in the 12 food and drink categories.
Chef patron Pascal Canevet said “We are absolutely delighted Maison Bleue has won ‘Restaurant of the Year award’; its fantastic news and testament to the passion, commitment and expertise our inspirational team deliver. We feel very honoured and privileged”
The award came just hours after Pascal completed the London Marathon, running for Sarcoma UK. “Its been quite a weekend” laughed Karine Canevet “We are thrilled to gain such a prestigious award Suffolk is our home and this means so much to us we can’t wait to share the news with our team.”
It’s well known that the Maison Bleue team operate very much as a ‘family’ with a strong passion and pride to deliver. However, few chefs simply charm their team. Pascal has an enduring personality that inspires dedication. His attention to detail, at every level, ensures each dish is quite simply visually stunning, served with flair and, of course, tastes superb.
