The Songs of Joni Mitchell...
‘Both Sides Now’, at The Apex on Wednesday 8 February, is an homage to the songs of Joni Mitchell.
A singer, composer and lyricist of exceptional talent, Joni Mitchell’s poetic and honest reflections on the human experience created some of the most enduring songs of the '60s and '70s, including ‘River’, ‘Free Man In Paris’, ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘Help Me’ and of course, ‘Both Sides Now’.
Joni’s extraordinary body of work spans more than 50 years; her contribution to music was recently recognised by the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.
The show will feature three vocalists, Mim Grey (who has performed with Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Dave Stewart), multi-million streaming, Radio 2 play-listed (and Apex regular) Jo Harman and Mike Mayfield, who has worked with dozens of household names, like Ed Sheeran and Jessie J.
The singers will be backed by Redtenbacher's Funkestra, a multi-million streaming band of international musicians who have played with the likes of Bowie, Elton John and Herbie Hancock.
Both Sides Now will be at The Apex on Wednesday 8 February at 7.30pm. Contact the Box Office on 01284 758000 or see the website www.theapex.co.uk for more details or to book.
