Sindhu is Vee Funny
Finalist in this year’s BBC New Comedy Awards, Sindhu Vee has extended her critically acclaimed UK tour, due to popular demand.
Sandhog is the highly anticipated new show from the host of BBC Radio 4’s Comedy of the Week podcast.
Following the adage, 'write about what you know', Sindhu’s hilarious stand-up routine sees her delving into her dysfunctional family life. She says “Loving your children, spouse and ageing parents (in that order, but please don’t tell my mother) is very hard work, very intense and a lot of the time it sucks. But who wants to live without love?”
In 2018, Sindhu debuted her solo stand-up show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which was a complete sell-out, culminating in a sparkling nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
“Her acerbic perspective and unapologetic delivery of less politically correct home truths are alarmingly persuasive”— The List, Edinburgh Festival Review
Sindhu’s television appearances include; The Tez O’Clock Show, Q.I., Have I Got News For You and Live At The Apollo. On radio, Sindhu is a regular guest on the Guilty Feminist podcast, has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and The Now Show, and starred in her own series, Sindhustan.
Sindhu Vee is at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds on Monday 7 October at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from www.theapex.co.uk or 01284 758000.
