Trees in Town Community Competition...
Art Branches community interest company have launched Trees in Town community competition for all ages, ability and residents of Bury St Edmunds.
Art Branches have identified 22 interesting and different trees in Bury St Edmunds town centre and your job is to find the tree that you find most interesting and illustrate it in whichever method you like, including watercolours, drawings and prints.
The illustration should be handed into the Apex desk by June 6th. Judges from Unbuilt Studio will be looking for illustrations that show the character of the tree and winners will be published in an interactive booklet which will act as guide to the trees in Bury St Edmunds town centre.
All entrants will receive copy of the published booklet and all winners a selection of prizes.
The project details and map can be dowloaded here or an entry form picked up at the Apex.
‘Trees in Town’ is an Art Branches community interest company project which forms part of the Woodland Trust’s national Tree Charter, collecting tree stories and illustrations from across the community. Art Branches will be raising awareness of trees across Bury St Edmunds town centre.
The project is sponsored by the Woodland Trust, Councillors Mark Ereira, Joanna Rayner and Trevor Beckwith.
