The Apex is good for your health!...

Getting healthy is one of the most popular New Year’s resolutions. If it’s one of yours, these new exercise classes at The Apex could be just what the doctor ordered!

A new mixed ability Pilates Class will run from 6.30pm-7.30pm every Thursday (from 7 January). These safe and progressive exercises will strengthen lower back and core muscles, improve posture and balance and lead to a more toned look. All levels are welcome, whether beginners, intermediate or advanced.

Due to popular demand during the Festival of Sport, a brand new weekly Belly Dancing class will start on Monday 11 January from 7pm-8pm. This fun class will help you develop a strong and supple core, with beautiful undulations, shimmies, locks and hip work.

The Mixed Ability Yoga class on a Tuesday evening from 5.45pm-7pm (starting 12 January), offers a combination of postures and breath awareness, which eases away our tensions, increases our strength and flexibility, strengthens our bones and joints and increases our oxygen uptake, giving us more energy and vitality.

The 45 minute Introduction to Yoga class on a Wednesday lunchtime from 1pm-1.45pm (starting 13 January), is perfect for those on their lunch break as it offers the chance to relax, de-stress and re-energise. You will reap both physical and mental benefits through various types of yoga postures (asanas). Shower facilities are available and you can also pick up your lunch from The Apex café. 

Girls and boys aged from 6 months to 6 years will get their own fun and friendly classes with babyballet every Friday (starting 8 January). With a real focus on learning through play, the unique babyballet syllabus offers ballet and tap classes where every child can build their confidence and social skills, while developing their basic ballet technique, coordination, musicality, balance, posture and rhythm.
