Hugh Cornwell at The Apex...
On 1 November there will be a solo performance by Hugh Cornwell, one of the UK's finest song-writing talents and accomplished live performers.
As the original guitarist, singer and main songwriter in the British rock band The Stranglers, Hugh enjoyed massive success with 10 hit albums and 21 Top Forty singles, etching himself into Europe and American musical psyche as the voice of such classic songs, as Peaches, No More Heroes, Golden Brown, Nice N’ Sleazy, Always the Sun and Duchess.
Cornwell's latest studio album Totem And Taboo was engineered and mixed by the legendary Steve Albini and was released to rave reviews, including "His gnarliest record in over 30 years" (Mojo) and "He sounds more engaged and intense than he has in years" (Classic Rock). Hugh Cornwell appears at The Apex on Sunday 1 November at 8pm.
