Come and draw your story...

Organised by Bury Sketchers and The Apex as part of The Big Draw 2015, with three different drawing activities focussing on this year’s international Big Draw theme: "Every drawing tells a story".

Never Ending Story

The Apex Lounge will be wrapped in paper inviting you to draw the story of he journey between some well-known Bury St Edmunds landmarks. Run by artist Amy Nettleton. Suitable for ages 5-12.

DIY Zine Workshop

Create the ultimate 8 page DIY Zine! Run by Graphic Illustrator Joel Millerchip. Suitable for ages 13+.

What Happens Next?

Starting with photos from local newspapers you are invited to draw what happens next. Be a press illustrator and submit your news for an issue of our newspaper. Our office in The Apex Lounge will project your artwork onto a giant #DrawBury Times front page and you be able to take your collage and drawing work home. Run by Bury Sketchers. Suitable for all ages.

#DrawBury Exhibition Reception

The Apex will be hosting a showcase of all the work created during the day at the Exhibition Reception between 6-8pm in The Apex Lounge. Come and see the result of the day’s workshops and mingle with likeminded sketchers!
