Fundraising underway as Premier Travel’s Charity of the Year is announced
From wading through a 4ft bubble bath to inflatable obstacle courses, Premier Travel has started its fundraising for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) as it announced the organisation as its Charity of the Year.
Premier Travel, an independent travel company with a branch in the Buttermarket, Bury St Edmunds, has announced all fundraising for 2020 will be in aid of EACH, which provides care for children and young people with life threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties, as well as support for family members.
Fundraising has already begun as branches also collected donations on behalf of the charity for their Bag It, Bring It, Boost It initiative where residents could bring their unwanted items into branch to be donated to the charity.
Team Premier will also be taking part in EACH’s Splash Out inflatable fun run as well as Bubble Rush events in Norwich, Huntingdon and Saffron Walden.
Paul Waters, Director of Premier Travel, said: “East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices provides a lifeline for families at what is a very difficult time. That’s why we decided to fundraise throughout 2020 for this very worthy cause.
“We are looking forward to all the events we will be taking part in this year and we have many others in the works so that we can raise as much money as possible.”
Caroline Allen, EACH Norfolk Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income, so it’s always a huge boost to receive support from companies and particularly support extended over the course of months or, as in this case, a year.
“Money raised by Premier Travel will help us continue providing care for some of the region’s most vulnerable children and support for their families. A big thank you to the staff for choosing us and we look forward to seeing them at our upcoming fundraising events, more details about which are available at www.each.org.uk.”
