Local Olympic Torch runner...

Andy McGowan, shift manager at the McDonald's in Bury will be running with the Olympic Torch through Newmarket on 7th July after it has gone through Bury St Edmunds.

The day after his run on Sunday 8th July between 2pm and 4pm, local man Andy will be taking his torch into the Bury St Edmunds McDonald's so that anyone who would like to have their photo taken with it is able to have the opportunity to do so. Andy has raised over £1500 for RMHC in the last 12 months leading up to carrying the torch.

They will be asking people to make a £1 donation to RMHC to have their picture taken, and a photographer from Bury Photography will be on site to take the photos for everyone. People are free to take photos on their own phones/cameras, but the photographer will e-mail anyone who wants them high-quality digital copies of their photo, so they can have their very own souvenir of the 2012 Olympics.

Andy will there in his Olympic Torch Relay uniform to talk to people about his experience of carrying the torch and will be available for photos.
