Alice in Wonderland comes to The Abbey Gardens...
Bury St Edmunds Library are celebrating 150 years since the publication of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by providing a free fun day of activities in the Abbey Gardens this Saturday (4 July)
Library staff will be providing a range of Alice themed activities for children including facepainting, storytime, crafts and croquet. The activities will take place in the field opposite the children’s play area from 10am to 3pm. Look out for the Suffolk Libraries gazebo!
The activities are being provided for free thanks to supported by The Bay Tree Café Bistro, Raspberry Rascals and the Friends of Bury Library. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.
Saturday 4 July marks the 150 year anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Visitors to Bury St Edmunds Library will also notice that the children’s library is currently decorated with illustrations from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
