Bury St Edmunds Library: Events for June...

Visit Bury St Edmunds Library for more than just your holiday reads this month. With lots of exciting events, talks and book groups, the Library looks forward to welcoming you soon.

June begins with a celebration of local volunteers. Three Cheers for Volunteers runs on Saturday 7th June between 10am-4pm. It's hope is to inspire future volunteers, as well as giving back to the wonderful people that so generously donate their time.

If you're interested in discovering more about your family tree, the Suffolk Family History event with members from Bury Family History, is offering two hours to guide you through the process. Drop by the Sound & Vision Library on the 11th June between 10am-12noon, and you may find some digging could reveal family treasure!

Supported by Suffolk Family Carers, Music in our Bones invites you to HeartSong - Sing & Feel Good. Held in the Conference Room between 1-3pm, on Friday 20th June, this event only asks for a voluntary donation, and promises that you will leave feeling fantastic.

In the evenings, the library will be open for a number of events. On the 10th June, come along to discuss your love of reading with fellow book lovers, or join the Confident Reader Workshop led by UEA Lecturer, B J Epstein, on the 17th June. An evening with the author of All the Birds, Singing, Evie Wyld, on the 30th June will be a delightfully way to see out the month.

The regular book groups continue in June, and are always looking for new members.

The Adventurers Book Group meets: third Tuesday of every month, 3-5pm.

Tuesday Night Book Group meets: second Tuesday of every month, 6-7pm.

The next book sale is Saturday 28th June in the Conference Room, 9am - 3pm.
