March at Bury St Edmunds Library...
After a very successful February celebrating friendship, March sees "Write / Read" take over the library with a month long programme of events and activities with a literary theme. Details below...
WRITE / READ
Celebrating writing, books and reading - all month long!
Book Tree - Through March / Library Foyer
In the foyer at this very moment, and throughout March, leaves are sprouting on our Book Tree. With a leaf available in the Bury Free Press (28/02/2014) and throughout the library, why not record your favourite book or author and help make the Book Tree resplendent?
Dr Seuss' Birthday - Sunday 2nd March 2014 / Children's Library 10.30-12.00
Children are invited to come and join in the celebration of Dr Seuss' birthday with a special Sunday craft session decorating character masks and creating Dr Seuss style verse!
Top 100 Books
During March we are displaying a list, and a selection to loan, of the top 100 "must read" books with a Write / Read book mark available for you to enter your top ten selections from the list also. The list is already generating lots of debate so why not come and see what you think - and don't forget to tell us!
