Top marks for Wilcrofts

Wilcrofts located in Brentgovel Street, has not only been listed in the top ten places to eat in Bury St Edmunds, but has received a maximum five stars in a food hygiene inspection. 

“It is pretty rare to get five stars and this is our second inspection and the second time we have gained the maximum marks – so it is quite an achievement,” said Jason Hoyle who runs the Brentgovel Street business with his wife Sarah.

Wilcrofts is a well-known café in Bury St Edmunds; known for its home cooked food. Offering a range of jacket potatoes, freshly made sandwiches and full English breakfasts. 

Jason then added; “The Environmental Health inspector spent two and a half hours checking our paperwork and seeing how we keep the place in order.

“It is fantastic from where we were seven years ago when we brought the business.

“We have developed the menu, introduced our style of cuisine. We have got an excellent team that we have built up over the last seven years.”
