Celebrating 30 years of Help and Care...
The 1st May marked the 30th year anniversary for St Nicholas Hospice Care, a place that has provided crucial support to many families across the region. Patients, families, staff and volunteers were invited to a service at the hospice to commemorate the occasion, where readings were given by chief executive Barbara Gale, board of trustees chairman Aidan Williams, alongside several of the staff members and supporters.
A cherished hospice at the heart of Bury St Edmunds, St Nicholas Hospice offers invaluable support to families coming to terms with life-threatening illness, death, and bereavement. Starting off with one caring nurse named June Storey, the hospice now has 150 employees and 650 volunteers offering advice and medical help to over 2,500 people.
Show your support by sponsoring or taking part in the hospices latest charity trek which is the Bury to Clare Challenge - an 18 mile walk through the countryside which is set to take place on 18th May. For more information visit www.positivestepspt.co.uk/bury-to-clare-challenge/
