Awesome August presents Raiders of the Lost arc and much more...

Awesome August continues in arc this week with the Raiders of the Lost arc event, in aid of the Towergate Accumulator challenge on Saturday, the Bury St Edmunds food and drink festival on Sunday and bank holiday Monday before the team at Curve Motion get their skates on in Charter Square on Tuesday.

Last week continued to provide entertainment as a variety of events kept shoppers and kids busy. There were Segways from Go Ape, Crazy Golf from Putterfingers, crafts from Bird’s Baby Boutique and Innipooh and free face painting.

The fun continues Saturday with an Indiana Jones themed, fund raising challenge, Raiders of the Lost arc. The event will be host to a wide range of activities. You can take on the Indiana Jones themed mini golf, supplied by Putterfingers. Once you have completed the course you can dig to find your prize as you search for your ticket in our archaeology tombola. If you are feeling brave, come and face your fears as you can get face to face with snakes, spiders and other creepy crawlies and have the chance to handle them.

As the bank holiday weekend continues the food and drink festival comes to town and ventures into arc. This year you will also be able to celebrate the Great British summer with the beach in Charter Square, so pull up those trouser legs, put a hankie on your head and relax in a deck chair enjoying the last throws of summer.

Finally the week is rounded off as Curve Motion come to arc on Tuesday to get their skates on and entertain all.

arc centre manager, Colin Roberts commented, “The face painting this past weekend was so busy, it was fun to see all the kids as tigers or fairies. A lot of planning has gone into our Raiders of the Lost arc event and after the success of last year accumulator challenge we have a lot to live up to. I hope we can make a lot of money for St Nicholas Hospice. And finally, who doesn’t love a food festival. . .with a beach! There is a lot to look forward to this week.”

The entertainment continues as part of arcs Awesome August.  For a full list of activities, please visit the arc website at www.arc-burystedmunds.com
