Christmas Fayre road and car park closures
We appreciate that the Christmas Fayre does cause disruption to residents and businesses and we would like to thank you for your continued support.

The Fayre will open to the public at noon on Thursday 21 November. There will be a parade of children from the arc to Angel Hill at 5.30pm and the official opening will be by the Mayor at 5.45pm on Angel Hill. There will be a short firework display at 8pm to round off the evening.
Noise
The entertainment on Angel Hill will be from noon until 8pm on Thursday, 10am until 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 10am until 5pm on Sunday. The fairground will trade within the same times and is situated in Angel Hill.
Road closure
We would be grateful if you could inform your customers and your suppliers of the closures and if you have any serious problems please contact us as soon as possible.
Buttermarket
The Buttermarket and Cornhill will be closed from Wednesday 6pm so no parking or vehicle access will be available from then until 11pm on the 24th November with the exception of emergency vehicles. If you require deliveries during this time please contact us.
Angel Hill
Angel Hill car park will be closed for overnight parking from 6pm on Tuesday 19 November. Angel Hill road will be closed from Mustow Street traffic lights to the corner of Chequer Square from 9.30am on Wednesday 20 November until 11pm Sunday 24 November. Abbeygate Street from the Buttermarket to Angel Hill will remain closed for the same period.
St Johns Street
St Johns Street will be closed from the junction of St Andrews Street North/Brengovel Street to the junction with Orchard Street between 9am and 6pm on Friday 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday 24. Hatter Street Hatter Street will be closed from 10.00am on Wednesday 20 November until 10pm on Sunday 24 November. There will be no through traffic from Higher Baxter Street during this time. If you require access for deliveries please contact us to arrange.
Angel Lane
Angel Lane will be closed from 11am on Thursday 21 November until 10pm 24 November. There will be access to Angel Lane via Churchgate Street for residents and businesses only There will be no access to Angel Hill or Hatter Street during this period unless it has been agreed with the event organiser beforehand.
Car parking closures
Chequer Square will be closed for parking from 6pm on Wednesday 20 November until 7pm on Sunday 24 November. Any cars left will be towed away.
Ram Meadow/Shire Hall will be open normally over the weekend
Parking Areas suspended from 6pm Wednesday 20 November
• Crown Street – resident parking bays and disabled bay between Churchgate Street and Honey Hill.
• Honey Hill – limited waiting bay and one of the permit holders bays on the north side on Honey Hill near St Marys Church.
