Womens Cycling Tour...
Bury St Edmunds is gearing up to welcome the Women’s Tour once again - after attracting crowds bigger than anything seen across Europe at last year’s race finish.
The peloton will set off from Angel Hill on Wednesday June 17 before heading through the rolling countryside, through Ipswich and on towards Aldeburgh.
But the start of the race is just part of the festivities planned for the town. On Tuesday June 16, people can try out different forms of cycling in Charter Square before the top 16 cycling teams in the world are introduced to the crowds of supporters outside the Apex in the evening.

Members of the public are being advised that Angel Hill from the junction with Northgate Street to Crown Street, will be closed from 10.00pm on Tuesday 16 June until 4.00pm on Wednesday 17 June. As the race is on a market day there will be no parking available on Wednesday on Angel Hill, or in the Buttermarket or Cornhill.
