The Traverse at the Christmas Fayre...

As the Christmas Fayre promises to be bigger and better than ever this year, the historic street of the Traverse is joining in the festive cheer and offering a weekend full of celebrations.

Home to many wonderful independent businesses, The Traverse will be the hub of Christmas shopping as eight of its much loved stores are promoting special offers for the duration of the Fayre – from Thursday 28th November through to Sunday 1st December.

Sahara will be offering 10% off all purchases, as well as mulled wine and mince pies in the evening, while Scarlet will be giving away a free scarf with any purchase over £75! With equally fantastic offers from many more businesses, The Traverse will be an ideal place to start your Christmas shopping over the coming weekend.

On Friday 29th November, The Traverse Fairy Godmother will be in the vicinity to give some Christmas wishes to your little ones.

And to end the Christmas Fayre festivities with a bang, Sunday 1st December will see some exciting and innovative street football displays from the Street Soccer Scene. Between 12 noon and 1.15pm outside Laura Ashley, the street will welcome four international performers who are all characters from the FIFA Street EA Sports video game – two of whom are from Belgium, one from Italy and one from England. A recent street demo in Plymouth led to more than 80,000 hits on Youtube, so this is definitely not an event to be missed!
