Celebrity comedians warm the cockles in freezing February

Fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe and Radio 4, a trio of well known comics take to the stage at the Theatre Royal in three shows during February featuring Barry Cryer and Colin Sell on 1 Feb, Mitch Benn on 7 Feb, and Alex Horne on 25 Feb.

Stalwarts of the Radio 4 panel show circuit, including Barry Cryer and Colin Sell of I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, Alex Horne the creator of the much-loved The Horne Section, and Mitch Benn of The Now Show will be bringing hilarity to the Theatre Royal’s stage throughout February with a trio of top-notch acts!

Household names Barry Cryer and Colin Sell bring an evening of low-tech fun, in their show Twitter Titters, as they revel in their inability to get in touch with the digital age. Known for his many roles in comedy including writing for acts such as Morecambe and Wise and Tommy Cooper, and performing on stage and radio, Barry Cryer is the grandfather of comedy and will be sure to bring a warm glow of humour to the stage.

Alex Horne has been raising a chuckle from the nation for over a decade and brings a bag full of hilarity with him on his Alex Horne: Lies UK tour as he stops off in Bury St Edmunds for one night only.

Meanwhile Mitch Benn, much-loved musician and comical composer will be bringing his guitar and love of the Beatles to the stage as he shares his wit and satirical genius in his hilarious show Mitch Benn is the 37th Beatle celebrating his Scouse upbringing, his love of Liverpool’s most famous sons, and his penchant for poking fun at politics!
