Love Singing? Be a chorister for an afternoon...
Experience being a Cathedral chorister for an afternoon on Saturday 21 November at 2 pm.
St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds is looking for enthusiastic young people who love singing and who are looking for a new challenge to join a ’Be A Chorister for an afternoon’ online event. To whet the appetite and give potential choristers the chance to see what is involved, a taster session is being offered, free of change, which includes singing activities and games, the chance to chat with current choristers and a virtual tour exploring the cathedral and finding out about the organ. The event is aimed at boys and girls aged 6-11.
“Being a chorister is about being part of a close-knit team, whilst receiving a first-rate musical education and getting to perform in the beautiful setting of the Cathedral,” comments William Saunders, Cathedral Music Advisor. “We hope this taster session will give potential choristers an insight into how much fun it is.”
The Cathedral has produced a video, with some famous faces, who explain more https://youtu.be/-nCT-v6xVHQ
