Tickets are selling fast for this year’s annual performance of Handel’s Messiah, which takes place on Saturday 6 December at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds.
This much-loved choral concert starts at 7 pm (please note this is earlier than usual) and will be performed by four professional soloists together with St Edmundsbury Cathedral Choir, the St Edmundsbury Singers and the Suffolk Handel Players, led by Kathryn Parry.
‘This has become a familiar part of our preparations for Christmas,’ comments James Thomas, Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral and conductor for this performance. ‘We look forward to an evening of high class music which will also help support the work of the Cathedral.’
