New Cathedral Guidebook...

A new Guidebook has been launched at St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds. Priced at £5 the new Guide brings the history and development of this iconic building up to date. Published by Jarrold Publishing, the 32 page guide covers the history of the building, from parish church to Cathedral, including the recent editions of the Millennium Tower, vaulted ceiling, Cloisters, Chapel of the Transfiguration and the new organ installed in 2011.

‘2014 is an important year for the Cathedral and Diocese as we mark our centenary,’ comments Sarah Friswell, PR Manager at the Cathedral. ‘So it is timely that this new guidebook has been launched giving visitors all the facts and figures of its development.’

The Guidebook can be purchased from the Cathedral Shop which is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm (5 pm from 1 March) and Sunday 11.30 am to 4 pm.
