St Edmundsbury Cathedral launches a brand new CD ...

Just in time for Christmas, St Edmundsbury Cathedral has launched a brand new CD featuring the Cathedral Choir, titled 'Glory Everlasting'.

The album offers a breadth of choral music, including traditional pieces from the choir's repertoire by Vaughan Williams, Orlando Gibbons and Charles Stanford. 'These Three' by Richard Rodney Bennett, also appears on the CD, which has been commissioned by the Dean and Chapter of Westminster Abbey to mark the Diamond Anniversary of the marriage of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

'This collection would make a great Christmas present for lovers of choral music,' comments Mr James Thomas, DIrector of Music. 'Music is at the heart if the Cathedral's worship and liturgy, and capturing this on CD enables it to be shared with a wider audience.'

'Glory Everlasting' is available from the Cathedral Shop; and, is priced at £10, with all proceeds assisting the funding of future recordings.
