It Takes Two...

It Takes Two – Floral preparations

On Saturday 26 October flower arrangers Lee Berrill and Alan Smith will give a flower demonstration at Great Barton Village Hall in order to raise funds for next year’s Reflections Flower Festival, which will take place at St Edmundsbury Cathedral , Bury St Edmunds from 24 to 27 July 2014.

There will be two demonstrations. The morning session begins at 11.00 am (doors open 10.00 am) and the afternoon session is at 2.30 pm (doors open 1.30 pm). Both sessions will show off the talents of Lee and Alan, who are the designers of next year’s celebratory flower festival in the Cathedral, which is timed to mark the centenary of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich and the Cathedral.

‘This is a great chance to see Lee and Alan at work,’ comments Mrs Susan Cockram, organiser of the Cathedral’s Flower Festival. ‘It will be an inspiring day and will enthuse us all about what we are going to see next year in the Cathedral.’

Tickets for the flower demonstrations are £10 each and can be obtained from Susan Cockram, 7 Schoolhall Lane, Bury St. Edmunds IP33 1HA or by telephoning 01284 766688. Please send a SAE. Cheques should be made payable to St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

In addition there will be stalls, a raffle and light refreshments at Great Barton Village Hall.
