Hidden gardens of Bury St Edmunds...
Gross & Co Solicitors are delighted to be co-sponsoring this annual charity event for the fourth consecutive year, this time with Bedfords Estate Agents. An impressive 30 Hidden Gardens in Bury St Edmunds will open their doors to the public, between 11am and 5pm.
This has been an annual event on Bury’s calendar for the last 28 years, and has raised close to £330,000.00 for St Nicholas’ Hospice Care. Last year’s event raised an all-time high of a staggering £24,483.00.
By providing sponsorship for the event, Gross & Co and Bedfords Estate Agents ensure that pretty much every penny raised by the event, reaches the hands of St Nicholas’ Hospice Care.
Elizabeth Hodder, Family Law Partner in Gross & Co, says: “My firm has worked alongside St Nicholas’ Hospice Care on many legal projects over the years. Our staff have raised money for the Hospice through attending events such as The Girls’ Night Out. I myself have been pushed out of an aircraft for a tandem sky-dive to raise much needed funds for what I am sure most people in Bury St Edmunds view as one of our most important and most highly thought of charities. I am also a keen gardener and welcome the opportunity to promote interest in the many beautiful gardens, large and small, in the town centre.”
Emmerson Dutton of Bedfords Estate Agents says: “Tickets for the event are available in advance from the apex box office in Bury St Edmunds, or on the day, from a marquee on Angel Hill. There is a suggested donation of £5 entry per person to support the Hospice. Taxpayers are invited to Gift Aid their entrance money which will help the Hospice even more.”
