"Dear ladies and gentlemen at Gerald Boughton, 

You may remember as a very stressed wedding group who at 9. 00am on the morning of our wedding had nothing to wear to a wedding that was happening at 12.30 that very day (9th September 2022).  

My son is in the army and we had planned for almost a year and half, a military wedding at Hengrave Hall. 

The evening before the wedding,  after the sad news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen, my son and his groomsmen were told they were not allowed to wear their uniform.

Our problem was, half of our groom's party had morning suits (from our local suit shop in Bromley, Kent), and now the other half had nothing to wear (groom, best man, ushers....).  

We found your shop online and as you may remember a large group of us camped outside waiting you to open at 9.00am that very morning.

Your staff were amazing, calming a very stressed Groom and his party (all of whom were fairly tall!), you were running suits from your shop to your tailors across the road and by 11.00am we had a suite of suits that matched the rest of the group.

To Bury St Edmunds Tourist Board and Bury News, the staff at Gerald Boughton are an absolute gem in your Bury Crown and you are so fortunate to have such fantastic independent shops in your local area.
