22/01/2021Moving ForwardWe fully appreciate how difficult last year has been for you all and the challenges have rolled over into the New Year, with none of us knowing when this situation will change but without suggesting we have all or even any of the answers, if you have any concerns, queries, worries etc please don’t hesitate to contact me or Mike and we will see if we can do anything to assist you. We are currently looking at what we can do to support you all when the town reopens and this involves marketing, promotions etc but we are also looking into the provision of support and guidance training/information inputs for you and your staff to help when your business reopens and welcomes customers back. We appreciate that not everyone is going to feel 100% safe and reassured to return and we want to ensure we have done all we can to help you and your staff deal with these challenges. I will update you how we are progressing in this regard in the coming weeks

22/01/2021Publicising your business service provisionWe have been working hard collating details of which of our businesses are trading still and if so how the public can access what you are providing. Details of this are held on our website at Lockdown Listings - Our Bury St Edmunds It would be great if you could check this in regards of your business and if it doesn’t match with what you are actually doing then please contact Mike.kirkham@ourburystedmunds.com who will do all he can to rectify the matter promptly.

22/01/2021Access to Defibrillators in the town centreI was recently contacted by one of our members asking where the defibs were located in the town centre. I thought it was a good opportunity to remind you all that they are all fitted externally and are located at: The arc McDonalds Just Traid in St Johns Street Inside the old telephone kiosk on Angel Hill. Many of you will be aware that we run First Aid courses for our members (no charge) and part of the days training is in relation to the use of defibs. The member who contacted me had recently updated his knowledge of CPR techniques by accessing this online video and thought it would be of interest and use to other BID members so here it is Lifesaver (life-saver.org.uk)
