Christmas Lights Switch-on 21st November 2013

The Christmas Lights Switch-on involves the annual turning on of all the festive lights in the town and incorporates the charity stall night.  Browse stalls, eat seasonal delights and watch in awe as the whole of the town lights up for the Christmas period.
 
This year once again the penguins will be in town from 2.00pm, reindeers and donkeys from 4.00pm.  There will also be entertainment on stage from 3.30pm provided by local schools and colleges.  Santa will also be in town from 6.30pm in his very special Galleon.
 
The lights will be switched on at 7.00pm.  We also have street entertainers, and a face painter and a magician in Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre.

The Swervy World Band will be on the stage performing immediately after the lights are switched-on at 7.00pm
 
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE FREE PARKING FROM 3:00PM ACROSS THE TOWN!

Swervy World. Retro-rocketting through chrome-studded jukebox classics from the 40's 50s and beyond, Swervy World is a street band as well as a stage band, which means they actually bother to perform, make a show, like it matters: because when you see the difference, it really does! That may indeed be Swerving away from the norm, but it hits the spot.
