Welcome to Our Feature of the Month, where we aim to keep visitors to our website updated with the latest information on what’s happening in the town centre.
For the first time in three years, the Our Bury St Edmunds Christmas Lights Event is back on in full force including the popular stage performance.
Street entertainment will bring stilt walkers - including the amazing illuminated fairy, Victorian carol singers and the Salvation Army band playing Christmas music.
A variety of food stalls and a funfair will complete the evening. There’s an opportunity to meet Father Christmas on his sleigh, along with his elves.
Paddington Bear will be making personal appearances at intervals throughout the event so don’t forget to bring your camera.
The long-standing annual Christmas Charity Market will host stalls from local good causes and community organisations and a number of town centre businesses will also be participating during the afternoon and evening of Thursday, November 17 from 3 pm to 8 pm.
We are looking forward to seeing the town rally together and celebrating the Lights event once again.
