06/08/2020Virtual Network MeetingWe have scheduled our next Virtual Network Meeting, for 4.30pm on Monday 24th August. This will provide us with an opportunity to update you all on what we have been doing on your behalf and what we have plans to do for the rest of the year. The main focus of the meeting though, will be bringing you all up to speed on our new smartphone and tablet app (see next bullet point for more information).

06/08/2020New Place Promotions AppLast week we began introducing, via social media, our new Our Bury St Edmunds app as part of our plan to further help our members and the town centre to bounce back after the impact of the virus. We have partnered with the award-winning place promotion app LoyalFree to provide advertising for local businesses - see attached flyer. This service is free for BID members, is simple to set up and you can see a demo of the main features of the app at or download from the Google/Apple app stores.

06/08/2020Eat Out to Help OutThere has been a huge take up with this scheme this week, with many of our businesses fully booked up and with large queues outside many! As you know we have previously provided you with copies of the Government posters but if you want some more then please let me know and we can print some and drop them off to you. If you are registered for the scheme then we have listed your business on the BID website, shared it with Bury St Edmunds & Beyond for their website as well as being featured on the EOTHO trail on the app.

06/08/2020BID Levy reminder lettersI wanted to make you aware that to date over 60% of our members have not paid their BID levy yet and nearly 70% of our projected income is still to be collected. As I have mentioned previously, everyone at the BID acknowledges how difficult this year has been for businesses and that includes ours. We want to continue to deliver great value for your BID membership and the current town centre Monster Hero Safari Trail and the app are just two initiatives we have adopted and will be funding on the behalf of all members.
