Description
The Constitutional Club was opened on Friday the 6th April, 1888 by the Marquess of Bristol who was accompaied by Lord Francis Hervey MP for Bury St Edmunds and Lord Harris. They have recently launched a 'Combat To Coffee' initiative to help Veterans regain their identity by providing training and development in becoming a National Level 2 Baristas.

The Grand Opening of the Constitutional Club was reported in the Bury and Norwich Post and the Suffolk Standard in their editions on the 10th April, 1888.

The club offers a private members bar at £10 a year with pool table and darts board, private function room hire, snooker tables and a private floral courtyard beer garden.

Events

Every 1st Wednesday of every month, Bury Guitar Club meets at the Constitutional Club. All levels and styles of guitarists and any other instruments are welcome to join the relaxed, informal evening playing and chatting about all things musical! The club runs between 7.30pm and 9.30pm and entry is free. For more information, contact Kevin on 01284 768715


Marc Bartram hosts "Whats cookin at the con" on the first and third Sunday of each month where he showcases original music artists from around the region.

The One Foot Skank Reggae soundsystem hosts a dub reggae event once a month called DUBRISE.

The Milkmaid Folk club host their Folk Club and Blues Club on Friday evenings throughout the year.

Con Artists present a variety of Orignal and Tribute live bands on the first Saturday of every month. Expect anything from AC/DC to ZZ Top.
