_The Spring Fayre returns to Bury St Edmunds on Sunday 25th and Monday 26th May, 10am to 4pm each day. It's the perfect way to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend, with something for all ages happening throughout the town, and it is FREE to everyone who wants to visit!
What's On at the Spring Fayre?
Expect a buzzing atmosphere across Bury St Edmunds this Spring Fayre weekend, with exciting attractions, street entertainment, and over 70 vibrant market stalls to explore.
The Cornhill becomes the heart of the action, where the Urban Beach sets the scene for seaside fun, complete with traditional Punch and Judy shows that everyone can enjoy. Science enthusiasts can also enjoy the interactive astronomy stall, which allows visitors to explore the stars, planets, and more. History lovers can visit the special exhibit from the Suffolk Regiment Museum, which offers a glimpse into local military history.
Families can enjoy the pay-per-go activities by heading to the helter-skelter, a classic roundabout ride, or trying their luck at the hook-a-penguin stall. Cornhill is also home to the flower, plant, and craft stalls, making it the perfect spot for finding something handmade and beautiful. Just off the Cornhill is the event information point, your go-to hub for any questions during your visit.
Meanwhile, over at Charter Square, located by the arc shopping centre, you’ll find even more family fun, including a mini golf course to test your putting skills. With more pay-per-go fairground rides, such as the carousel, and free face painting for little ones, this bank holiday is a must-visit area of the town centre.
The Buttermarket will be alive with the buzz of the vintage market, a treasure trove of nostalgic finds and unique pieces. It is also where the first aid point is located. On Angel Hill, the flower, food and craft market awaits, featuring artisan producers offering everything from cheeses and chutneys to freshly baked cakes, pastries and more. And if you’re bringing a furry friend, there are even stalls with tasty treats for your dogs, but we kindly remind all dog owners to keep their furry friends on a lead and ensure they stay cool and hydrated.
