Festival of Sport

The Festival of Sport is back in Bury St Edmunds this October, to encourage Suffolk to become the most active county in the UK! As you know, sport and exercise is very important for both mental and physical health, and participating in team sport particularly can be very good for learning leadership skills and making friends outside of your normal circles.

The ten day annual event will be launched by a Sporting Lunch at The Athenaeum, where we have the pleasure of dining with Double Olympic Champion, Lizzy Yarnold MBE. There will be some fantastic free events that you can attend such as Zumba classes in Charter Square run by Alex Beale, and The Health Hub at All Saints Hotel are offering one class from their timetable at £1 for new members.

Among the highlights of this year’s events is the Haversports St Edmunds Running Festival which offers three races which anyone can take part in, a 10k, a half-marathon and a full marathon.
