Food & Drink Festival Expert Profile: Ben’s Restaurant
Posted on Friday, 18th August, 2017
The Head Chef from Ben’s Restaurant, Jim Sloman, will be demonstrating the importance of local produce at the Bury St Edmunds Food & Drink Festival on Sunday 27th August at 4pm. Here’s more about this local eatery.
Since opening, Ben’s Restaurant has quickly become a firm favourite on the Bury St Edmunds food scene. With a big focus on farm to fork, Ben’s seeks to be completely transparent about where the food it serves comes from. This belief has been taken so seriously that the restaurant serves up pork from owner Ben’s farm in Ixworth!
The rest of the ingredients that go into making the many dishes on the delicious menu are all sourced from independent Suffolk producers and suppliers. All the meat is sourced from free-range Suffolk livestock and all fruit and veg is locally grown where possible.
The restaurant has won a variety of awards for its locally orientated cuisine, philosophy and feel and comes highly recommended.
