Your Guide to the Whitsun Fayre 2017!

The Whitsun Fayre is nearly here! This bank holiday brings with it our much-anticipated festival which offers a fantastic day out for all of the family!

In fact, there is so much going on over the course of the weekend that we thought you could do with a guide to some of the treats you can expect to enjoy!



Gardeners Stage

The gardeners stage features some of the best gardeners around sharing their knowledge and tips for creating a masterpiece in your back yard. With appearances from celebrity gardeners Katie Rushworth and Joe Swift, this is not to be missed!

Plant and Flower Stalls

The ever-popular plant and flower stalls will make a return to the Buttermarket and Cornhill. Revel in the countless colours of spring and summer with row upon row of floral beauty.

Motorsports Car Show

Returning for a second year on the Angel Hill, will be the popular Motorsports Car Show. At the show you will be able to stroll around and admire some of the regions finest motors.

Times: 10am-4pm

F1 Simulator

One of our star attractions at the Motorsports Car Show is the replica F1 Show Car designed by racing drivers for racing drivers. The simulator control technology gives the ultimate F1 driving experience.

Mini Farm

The family-favourite, mini-farm is back to Abbeygate Street. Children will have the chance to meet a variety of animals including pygmy goats, miniature pigs, an alpaca, a miniature horse, and lots more!

Fairground Rides

The fantastic and thrilling fairground rides will return to the Cornhill and arc Shopping Centre, providing lots of adrenaline-fuelled fun for the children for hours on end - not to mention all of you big kids out there, too!

Sense-o-matic Experiments

Sense-o-matic experiments are all about testing your senses. Visit Langton Place during the Fayre to discover if you can document every sense you discover using a scientific and fantastical Victorian-inspired contraption!

Times: 11am, 1pm & 3pm

The Beach

Once again the Our Bury St Edmunds beach will be back in town. Make sure you pop along to The Traverse to enjoy the gorgeous sun and golden sand. Who needs the Algarve when you have Bury St Edmunds!
