The Mason Arms

Dating back to the early 16th century, this fascinating building is now home to the Mason Arms, the flagship pub for Greene King Ales.

Whether you’re looking for an afternoon drink in historic surroundings, a good pub meal from their delicious home-cooked menu or a night out enjoying some of the finest beers from Greene King and other guest ales, the Mason Arms is a great venue.

Petrus Wine Bar

Petrus Wine Bar is located down a small side street in Bury St Edmunds and is full of character. It is an ideal place to meet and socialise.

It has an extensive wine list featuring the finest wines to suit all tastes along with an intimate menu that offers steaks cooked using the sous vide technique. This technique is said to cook steaks with incomparable taste. Why not give it a try?

The Stillery

This speakeasy-style cocktail bar is just about as cool as it gets. Only recently opened, The Stillery is a high-end cocktail bar with table service which is run by an extremely passionate team serving only the best quality drinks.

The bar also has its very own still for distilling spirits and you can try their first offering: ‘Stillery London Dry Gin’. You’d better book ahead though or you may be disappointed!

The Snug

The idea behind The Snug was to create a friendly neighbourhood-style bar offering a relaxed atmosphere that everyone can enjoy.

And this has certainly been achieved, resulting in a comfortable spot where, on top of a great range of quality crafted drinks, you can also enjoy a wide menu of homemade, feel-good food all day.

Old Cannon Brewery

The Old Cannon is unique in that the beer that you are drinking is actually brewed inside the pub right next to you as you enjoy a pint!

This genuinely independent free house was also runner up in the Suffolk Food & Drink Awards for Best Food Pub, so the grub’s not bad either!

On top of all this it also offers bed and breakfast rooms so you have somewhere close by to sleep off all that delicious beer and food.

LP Bar

LP Bar is one of those venues that has it all. In the restaurant you can enjoy pizzas, pastas, burgers and salads and the bar offers coffees, juices, wines and real ale. Kids are also welcome downstairs until 10pm.

However, if you fancy a bit of music in the evening, that is where LP Bar really comes into its own, with a live music venue and first floor night club playing music until 3am.
