Food and Drink Festival Focus: Live Demonstrations

You could read all the cookery books in the world, but when it comes to learning a new dish, there’s nothing quite like watching it being prepared for real.
Luckily for you there is a whole host of cookery demonstrations taking place at this year’s Bury St Edmunds Food and Drink Festival on Sunday 28th and Monday 29th August.
Below, we’ve provided a full run down of all the live cookery demonstrations taking place at the Aga Rangemaster Theatre Kitchen throughout the festival.
Sunday 28th August
Celebrity Chef: Galton Blackiston
11am, 1pm, 3pm
Back for a second year running, catch top local chef and TV show regular, Galton Blackiston, prepare a few of his favourites.
Palmers Coffee Shop
Palmers Coffee Shop showcase their home-made cookery skills.
Casa Del Mar
The Casa Del Mar team offer you a lesson in Mediterranean culinary delights.
The team from Maison Bleue demonstrate modern French fine dining at its best.
Monday 29th August
Celebrity Chef: James Tanner
11am, 1pm, 3pm
Star of the BBC’s hugely popular Ready Steady Cook and many more shows since, James Tanner offers you a first-hand lesson in the kitchen.
Kitchenware expert and product demonstrator, Malcolm Harrdine, shows you the best gadgets.
The Northgate Cookery
The team from The Northgate provide a taster of what you can expect from Bury St Edmund’s newest venue.
