Bay Tree Café

A friendly family-run restaurant offering something for every taste

Bay Tree has been established in St John's Street for some 17 years; a lovely street, that retains its traditional feel with many individual shops.

They offer freshly prepared cafe food Monday to Saturday. They have great coffee, speciality teas & beverages as well as an extensive menu of  breakfast (their chef makes the best scrambled egg), brunch & lunch choices plus they have a yummy home made scones, cakes & pastries, all served in friendly relaxed atmosphere.

So, if you need a break from shopping, or want to escape for the much needed lunch break, or just fancy a cuppa & a chat with friends, then come and find us in St John's Street, only a few steps from the the Buttermarket, bus station and car park.

Get your taste buds tingling and check out the new Summer menu from Bay Tree. With lots of tasty food, plus options for vegetarians, gluten free diets, low-fat diets and for children. Many of the items are available to takeaway (separate price list available in store).

The Bay Tree now offers emergency service personnel, NHS staff & Defence staff discount. Keep an eye on our offers page for their latest promotions.

The staff here are always helpful about providing gluten free food. They now do a gluten free fruit scone which is delicious. Incidentally, I was introduced to this restaurant by a young Mum who also finds them friendly and helpful, and appreciates the neatly conformed toilet to help with a toddler.
