Balaam's Music is an independently owned business supplying printed music and musical instruments of all kinds, from traditional instruments like Violins and Cellos Flutes, Saxophones, Trumpets, Guitars and Ukuleles to the latest Digital Pianos and Keyboards, Electric Guitars and Basses and amplifiers. There’s a wide range of percussion instruments and accessories.

Balaam's Music is unusual in that it has a NAMIR repair workshop on the premises, which can take care not only of the initial setting-up of instruments (all-important for inexperienced players!) but they can also take care of work ranging from Services and Overhauls of wind and stringed instruments, to emergency running repairs.

Balaam's Music stocks a large range of instrument tutor books from all the leading publishers, as well as examination material from Associated Board (ABRSM) and Trinity College.

A printed list of private teachers of music is available to personal callers at the shop, and an Instrument Rental Programme is run to put good quality instruments into the hands of students of all ages, without a large outlay.
