Taste of Culture...

Explore new ways of cooking and eating at a free Taste Of Culture event in October – and take home a free recipe book!

A Taste Of Culture is an annual event organised by the Multicultural Women’s Group of Bury St Edmunds (MWG) and takes place in The Centre, St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 28 October from 11.30am – 2.00pm.

Admission is free, but donations to support MWG are invited.

MWG members will be offering samples of home-cooked food from their own country, and talking about traditions and culture associated with it. There will also be dancing, music and children’s activities.

Because the event falls during the Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival, MWG will be hosting a recipe book swap: bring your unwanted recipe books and find a fresh taste in someone else’s!

Sandra Attolini, a founder member of MWG, said: “Everyone is warmly invited to come along, taste the food and talk to us – we’re very friendly! We have monthly coffee mornings at The Centre too.”

The event is supported by Locality Budget funding from Bury St Edmunds Town Council granted to MWG this year.
