Bury St Edmunds Farmers Market...

It has been a while in the planning but it is now almost time for Bury St Edmunds farmers’ market to take its place on The Traverse, in the centre of town.

On Sunday December 11th Suffolk Market Events will deliver a top quality farmers’ market showcasing a wonderful selection of some of the region’s very best local producers.

Everything at the market will have been produced by the person who is selling giving the customer the opportunity to meet the producer face to face and nothing will have travelled further than fifty miles to be at the market.

‘Suffolk Market Events works with genuine local and often small scale producers and, through farmers’ markets, the business provides a sustainable, low cost platform for these small scale enterprises to sell their products. Bury St Edmunds is the perfect location and we are really excited about having a monthly presence in the town’ says Justine Paul, owner of Suffolk Market Events.

The line-up of producers for the first market includes Fen Farm Dairy, Longwood Organic Farm, The New England Boar Company, Marmalade by Annee, Truly Traceable Pies, Long Melford and Lavenham Game Meats, The Suffolk Coffee Company, Casey’s Cakes and Jumo Naturals. All of these stalls plus some additions will be returning to The Traverse, every month, from March 12th 2017 when the market will be held on the second Sunday of every month.

If you are a producer of a top quality product, you are based within 50 miles of Bury St Edmunds and you would like to find out more about trading at the Bury St Edmunds Farmers’ market, then get in touch with Justine by email here or by calling Suffolk Market Events on 07704 627973.
