Theatre Royal Beats The January Blues...

Following the success of its magical pantomime Aladdin, the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds is continuing the excitement into 2014 with a sparkling selection of shows this coming January, including star-studded evenings, comedy, drama and musicals.

17th January - Jonathan Miller, the renowned theatre and opera director, takes to the stage in An Audience With Jonathon Miller, to talk about his long, fascinating and varied career.

18th January - The fabulous Showstoppers Improvised Musical creates a musical comedy from scratch by transforming audience suggestions into songs, storylines and sudden bursts of dance.

21st & 22nd January – The Soho Theatre and Nabokov bring their sell out production Blink from the West End. This intimate and sophisticated love-story portrays the difficulty of finding and keeping love in this modern world.

23rd January – The hilarious show Eric and Little Ern pays homage to one of the greatest comedy double acts in Britain.

24th January – A selection of Ipswich Town Football Club’s finest players will be hosting an evening, full of interesting stories and anecdotes that provide a unique insight into the fascinating world of football.

30th January - An Audience with Helen Fraser offers an evening of showbiz stories. With over fifty years as a professional actress, including the role of Sylvia “bodybag” in Bad Girls and Barbara in Billy Liar, she certainly has some tales to tell.

31st January – Local charity Focus 12 returns to the Theatre Royal with Laughing Stock 2, the much-anticipated sequel to their original sell out stand up show featuring a variety of comedy talent for an evening of hilarity.
