Employing Foreign Workers? – Don’t get caught out.

Take 15 minutes to save £15,000

Do you employ foreign workers or will you need to consider this in the future?

Are you confident that you have followed correct procedures in employing foreign workers or would you know what procedures to follow if you were considering employing a foreign worker?

Do you want to risk a Home Office civil penalty of £15,000 or more?

The Laws on employing Foreign Workers are a minefield and it is difficult to keep up to date on current legislation.

In recognition of this Sohan Sidhu, Partner and Immigration Solicitor at Gross & Co Solicitors in Bury St Edmunds has recently prepared a free Webinar dealing with the Home Office civil penalty regime. This is a regime introduced by the Home Office in February 2008 and explains how the Home Office will deal with businesses if businesses are caught employing illegal migrant workers. A business can be fined between £15,000 and £20,000 for employing each illegal migrant worker.

Sohan’s Webinar covers the following issues:

1. What the scheme is all about

2. How a business can protect itself from the imposition of a civil penalty

3. How we can help if a business is issued with a civil penalty

Sohan said “Employment of foreign workers is increasing in the region and the Home Office are very active in enforcing their civil penalty regime. I aim to assist businesses proactively by telling them what they need to do to avoid a civil penalty by offering this free webinar. In the unfortunate situation that a business is issued with a civil penalty this free Webinar also provides advice on what to do about it and how we can help”

The free webinar is less than 15 minutes long and could save you a £15,000 penalty. To request access to the Webinar go to http://gross.co.uk/immigration/webinar-request/
