The Queens Head News!...
The Queens Head presented a case before the Borough Council Licensing Committee earlier this to be able to extend their opening hours until 2am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings - and their application was successful!
This means that tonight they can stay open until 2am and every Thursday, Friday and Saturday Nights into the future.
This is welcome news to the owner of 25 years, Jan Rutherford 'This is a great result for The Queens Head, it means we can compete with all the other bars and restaurants in town now, instead of being the first to close. It took 6 years of battling to get us here but we very pleased we finally achieved it. I would like to thank Mark Cordell and the team from Bid4Bury for all their support and help through the case'
Jan would like to welcome all to come and have a drink with them and make use of their new opening hours, but she would like to remind everyone when leaving always consider local residents when they head off home.
