Family Print Workshop

Date: Saturday 10th February, 2018

In celebration of the ‘Mind the Gap’ exhibition presented at Moyse’s Hall, come and get creative!

Join artist Lucy Rainbow for a family-friendly workshop. Be inspired by the artistic heritage of the railway posters on show and the print making techniques of local printmaker Sybil Andrews.

Participants will design, make and print their own print blocks. This is a drop-in family workshop so join us at your convenience. It is appropriate for all ages, however adult supervision is required. Please allow about 1hr to complete the workshop activity.

Cathedral Half-Term Guided Tours

Dates: 10th February & 12th-17th February
Times: 11am-12pm

Tickets: £3, Under 16s go free
Booking: At the Cathedral Tourist Information Point on the day
Venue: St Edmundsbury Cathedral

Join us at St Edmundsbury Cathedral for a Guided Tour led by our experienced Cathedral Guides. Learn more about the origins of the Cathedral and developments over time. Please meet the guide by the Font at 11am. The tour lasts approximately 1hr.

James Campbell’s Comedy 4 Kids

Date: 11th February
Starts: 2.30pm
Tickets: £8, family ticket (4 people) £27.50
Venue: The Apex

A stand-up comedy show for children over 6, their parents and anyone who likes comedy without the rude words. Hold onto your socks, take the banana out of your ears and enjoy the best comedy for kids from the man who invented it.

James's show will find the hilariously funny things about everything, including pets, couscous, spaniels, making your own yoghurt, bees, why we have hair and will answer questions such as:

Do sausage dogs eat sausages? Or do they just look at them and say, "I'm not eating that - it looks like my grannie."

James Campbell also writes the hilarious Boyface books; has appeared on TV programmes such as Blue Peter and has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, The Royal Albert Hall, on Broadway and the West End, and even a tiny tent on the back of a hamster!

The 4 Day Film Challenge 2018

Dates: 12th-15th February
Times: 10am-4pm each day
Tickets: £40
Booking: Strongly recommended
Venue: The Apex

The 4 Day Film Challenge, suitable for 10-18 year olds, returns to The Apex! Teams of 5 are given 4 days to write, shoot, star in and edit a short film. Are you up to the challenge?!

Teams will be allocated on the first day and films can be any genre, but must be a ‘U’ rating.

Extra info:
- Run by The Offshoot Foundation
- All equipment is provided, participants are welcome to use their own cameras/smart phones etc.
- The Offshoot Foundation and The Apex cannot take responsibility for any damage/theft or loss of personal belongings
- Participants must bring their own lunch
- There will be a 30 min lunch break each day, children aged 16 or under will be chaperoned if leaving The Apex
- Film Screening and Awards held on Saturday 17 February (see below)
- Further information will be emailed upon booking

Film Screening and Awards
There will be a screening of all the films, along with the presentation of awards and prizes in various categories at The Apex on Saturday 17th February 10.30am.
